Purchase Order Creation - Edit - Load from Hand Held

You can load item lines into a purchase order from a file (e.g. that has been created in a third party application) or from a hand held device (e.g. a P460 scanner). You can also use this option for manual data entry where you want to quickly key in the item then the quantity.

Technical Tip To access this option, the registration code for Simple Hand Held must be turned on in your company configuration – refer to "Edit Company - Registration"). 2.8 Feature If this option is disabled even though you have access to the Simple Hand Held functions, refer instead to "Purchase Order Creation - Edit - Upload Line Records (v2.8)".

1. Display the Purchase Order Creation - Detail screen.

Refer to "Purchase Order Creation - Edit Menu Options".

2. Select EDIT | LOAD FROM HAND HELD.

Micronet displays the Enter Method screen.

3. If you are loading item lines from file, select the Browse button to find the file containing the items you want to load, then select the File button.

Micronet imports the item lines and displays them on the Purchase Order Creation screen.

4. Optionally, select Download on your hand held device to automatically load items into the purchase order.

Micronet accepts the data and loads each item into the purchase order.

5. Alternatively, if you want to manually enter the item lines, select the Keyboard button on the Enter Method screen.

Micronet displays the Enter Purchase Item screen.

Micronet redisplays the Enter Purchase Item screen so you can enter further item lines.

8. When you have finished adding item lines, select the Cancel button.

Micronet redisplays the Purchase Order Creation - Detail screen with the item lines you added.
